The pankhurst plot

The aim of this project was to create, develop and run a new garden - “the Pankhurst Plot” in Chorlton Park, a community garden that grows fresh produce for Emmeline’s Pantry food bank, runs regular volunteering sessions, hosts natural craft workshops and has an outdoor childrens play area.

Situated in Chorlton Park, the project started in May 2021 with support from the neighbourhood fund, MUD, Emmeline’s Pantry, Friends of Chorlton Park and some willing local volunteers. The project naturally evolved and grew with time and became a hub for activities and a beautiful garden to admire from Nell Lane and later recieved funding from bewell and the foresters trust.
