You’re warmly invited to our folk sessions, performances, workshops and community feast on Saturday 29th March.
This day celebrates the creativity and cross-cultural exchange of food, and the joy of breaking bread and folk traditions in collaboration with Factory International.
The event will run in two parts (ticketed separately):
DAYTIME HAPPENINGS 10am - 3pm
We have tons of stuff going on. The day is full of workshops, performances, sessions and crafts celebrating folk music and dance from far and wide. All day you’ll find Tibetan Kitchen serving currys and momos straight from their big yellow van, and MUD Kitchen selling hot and cold drinks, and freshly baked cakes.
In the Frog House you’ll find Partisan Folk Singers and Traditional Exchange running workshops. On the Lawn you’ll find Queer as Folk holding a folk session open to all and Shany Awaz who will be sharing Kurdish Folk music. All day at the Harvest Station you can get your Face Painted with Rosanne. There will be plenty of crafts in the Art Hut, and elsewhere in the garden the authentic Colibri Mexican Folk Dance will entertain you.
The full schedule of all acts will be announced closer to the time, so you won’t miss your favourites!
Tickets are available here at a sliding scale of £3, £5 or £10.
EVENING FEAST 4.30pm - 7.30pm
A MUD Kitchen Buffet of veggie and vegan seasonal sharing plates. A relaxed, sociable opportunity to break bread, spend time with friends old and new, and enjoy time outdoors.
Tickets are available here at a sliding scale of £5, £10 or £15.
